#Everyday Superhero - Lucy

Lucy has been a foster sister since she was 5. She has shared her room and welcomed in over 25 siblings over the past 8 years. She has been selfless and giving to all the foster kiddos. She has helped them in school, daycare and stood up for them when needed. We were able to adopt two much younger boys. She continues to babysit for the boys and and never hesitates in her love and adoration for them. We just recently resigned as foster parents and after my husband and I told Lucy she simply responded, “that’s okay. Look at everything that foster care has given us.” Lucy is an extraordinary child and I’m so grateful to be her mother.
